    Helminths normalise bowel function

Once they have been hosted for 12 weeks or more, helminths generally help to normalise bowel function, so can be expected to reduce both constipation and diarrhoea.

It's moved the output from my bowels to even more perfect Bristol Stool Chart # 4s. [1]
    Quotein.gif
It has been 4 months since I began the TSO. My Crohn's symptoms are gone… My stools are a consistently type 3 on the Bristol chart. (Link expired)

Helped my bowel movements tremendously but I have ulcerative colitis so I was coming from a horrible place and now am at a very dependable place mostly with Bristol 4!! [2]
    Quotein.gif
Hookworms have def supported the healing. My gut is less reactive and a lot more regular, and pooping doesn't hurt anymore. [3]
    Quotein.gif
No dramatic changes in the Bristol scale. Did noticed though that I became more regular. [4]

    Constipation

    Reduced constipation

    Quotein.gif
I suffered from constipation and attendant bloating my entire life. My bowel movements were very infrequent and painful, from hard stools. In many ways, it was debilitating. What really helped were helminths (NA). I now have either daily or every other day bowel movements. The stool has softened to what I imagine most people have experienced their entire lives... a soft easy to pass bowel movement.” [5]

I get TSO for my daughter's autism. I was terribly constipated from an antidepressant I take, and took a very small amount of the TSO. It helped so much. Not like it gave me diarrhea or anything, just a good normal bm. I take like maybe 250 ova a month. It's awesome." [6]
    Quotein.gif
I have two friends who had chronic constipation. Both now have normal BMs, and they had this success within the first 3 months (of taking NA)! One of them stopped NA for a while as she got esophagitis for a few days post inoculation and the constipation came back. She now just does 3 NA every 3-6 months with good results and no side effects." [7]
    Quotein.gif
A family member found relief from chronic inflammatory constipation with NA. [8]
    Quotein.gif
(In week 5) I’m not seeing any improvement. Fairly frequent diarrhea but not painful. Honestly I had constipation before so if anything this is a great cure for constipation. I wish I had done this sooner in my younger years. Just for the constipation benefits alone. [9]

    Temporarily increased constipation

Constipation is not common while hosting helminths, but a few people have reported several days of constipation starting around the end of the first week after inoculating with the first dose of hookworms, and some have reported a brief appearance of constipation between the 3rd and 12th weeks.

    Quotein.gif
I got constipation after 3 weeks hosting 10 NA. After a period of 2 weeks constipation, all went like before again which means slightly soft stools. My second dose of NA did not give that effect… [10]

I always had constipation as a side effect in the beginning (for about 8-12 weeks). Later helminths normalized bowel function. (Expired link)

HDC may also cause brief constipation in the early stages of treatment.

With hdc I had constipation for 2 days after intake for the first 3 months. (Expired link)

    Diarrhea

    Reduced diarrhea

    Quotein.gif
And suddenly, for the first time in two decades, his diarrhea is gone. It's been gone for three weeks now. Before getting hookworm, he would consume tons of probiotics and improve marginally, but if he skipped a day, it was though he hadn't taken any ever. He simply couldn't maintain enough to not have diarrhea without taking more multiple times a day… He thinks that the kefir seemed to reduce it but that he couldn't get real traction until he had hookworm as well.” [11]
    Quotein.gif
Helminths slow down my transit time, in a good way. Once my bowels adjust to the helminths my transit time normalizes. (Expired link)
    Quotein.gif
Crohn's symptoms are slowly going away. I only have 3-4 bowel movements per day. They are type 4-5 on the bristol stool chart and pass smoothly. That is a huge relief versus the 15-20 diarrhea per day. (Reported after 11 weeks on HDC) (Expired link)
    Quotein.gif
I don't have UC and I'm not really shure what I got, but I have had diarrhea pretty much for the last 10 years. I'm 8 months into NA and I am in total remission with my bowel movement. Benefits started a couple of days after my first inoculation with 3 NA. I have even been constipated. [12]
    Quotein.gif
Severe, chronic diarrhea has stopped (while hosting NA). [13]

    Temporarily increased diarrhea

    Quotein.gif
I tried 30 HDC… Very fast like 24 hr later I got terrible diarrhea with a terrible smell. I never smell something like that and I suppose it is the so called industrial smell people speak off… My diarrhea lasted like 2 full days (also at night) but then things got better and normal again in let's say 6 days… I must say I did not see also aggravation of anything else than this diarrhea. [14]
    Quotein.gif
I have Crohn's. I don't get nausea but I will get diarrhea after every HDC or TSO dose. It usually is the 2nd day after swallowing them. Rarely lasts into the 3rd but If I am traveling, I don't risk it. [15]
    Quotein.gif
My husband and I both have a single episode of diarrhoea after dosing with TTO, and this still happens to some degree after every dose, even though I’ve been dosing for a year and he for a few months, usually sharing a vial of 50 ova between us. These episodes vary in degree, sometimes just being a matter of urgency, but once being more like incontinence and resulting in a bed sheet change in the middle of the night. (Via private message)
